The beekeeper behind the jar

Hi, I'm Zoey.

I started keeping bees because I fell in love with the idea that a single jar of honey could tell you exactly where it came from — the wildflowers, the season, the hive.

How it started

I grew up on a small farm in the Pacific Northwest, where my grandmother kept a few hives at the edge of the orchard. Every summer, she'd let me help spin the frames and taste the honey straight from the extractor — warm, raw, impossibly golden.

Years later, living in the city, I kept buying honey from the grocery store and feeling like something was missing. The flavor was flat. The label said nothing. I had no idea where it came from or how it was made.

So I went back to basics. I took a beekeeping course, set up two hives in my backyard, and started sourcing from small-scale beekeepers I could actually visit and trust. Zoey Bees grew from there — one jar, one hive, one story at a time.

What we believe

Single-origin, always

Every honey in our collection comes from a single apiary in a single season. No blending, no shortcuts.

Raw and unfiltered

We never heat our honey above hive temperature. That means you get every enzyme, every pollen grain, every bit of flavor intact.

Small-batch sourcing

We work with independent beekeepers who share our values. Small batches mean we can verify every jar — and they sell out fast.

Transparent traceability

Every jar tells you the origin, the beekeeper, and the season. Honey should have a story.
